Senior System Administrator

Job Description

 

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing our sophisticated IT infrastructure to ensure the seamless operation of critical systems and services.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor IT professionals while actively engaging in technical tasks.

Technical Operations: Hands-on involvement in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.

Strategic IT Management: Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring their successful implementation.

Data Security and Compliance: Enforce data security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, and actively participate in their implementation.

Resource Management: Manage IT budgets and resources efficiently, including making informed procurement decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address IT needs and provide technical guidance.

Risk Management and Recovery: Evaluate risks and develop network recovery and backup processes.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all IT activities comply with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.

Experience and Required Skills

 

IT Operations: 5+ years of experience in IT operations.

Supervisory Experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience in an IT department.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in database systems, database storage systems, and phone systems.

Project Management: Strong project management skills with a proven track record of prioritizing tasks, managing risks, controlling costs, and meeting deadlines.

Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Server 2019/2022, Azure, Microsoft 365, SQL Server, datacenter infrastructure, networking (Fortinet switches, access points, and firewalls), VMware, and virtual environments.
