We are seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire position with our client in North Central San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a senior bookkeeping or staff accounting role. Salary $65,000/year.

Duties:

• Compiling monthly financial reports
• Posting and keeping an accurate record of the accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions (including aging reports)
• Processing client billing
• Preparing checks for payments
• Create end-of-month invoices and prepare for submission to client
• Management of delinquencies
• Month-end closing of books
• Timely preparation and filing of all sales tax reports
• Maintains adequate controls of receipts and disbursements
• Ensures that the agency’s cash flow is adequate to meet its commitments
• Manage balance sheet and P&L’s
• Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, work in progress, and accrued liabilities
• Handle bank reconciliations and make deposits weekly
• Audit financial policies and regulations
• Prepare budget forecasts
