Established Paving Contractor in Victoria, TX is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Superintendent to join their team.

Overview:

The Asphalt Paving Superintendent will be responsible for the daily planning, production and safety of the asphalt paving crew within a 150 mile radius.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 years of experience paving roads, and supervising a crew is preferred.

• Previous knowledge of Asphalt and related materials is preferred.

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

• Must have a “safety first” attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.

• Oversee progress and efficient utilization of paving crew and equipment.

• Establish and maintain a working relationship with fellow Foreman, Superintendents.

• Report any required repairs to Paving Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Shop.

• Oversee proper equipment maintenance.

• Monitor the layout, placement, and compaction of materials.

• Monitor quality control.

• Verify measurements, slope, etc.

• Experience with rehab construction, and TX DOT a plus to enable efficient work with municipalities, city, counties, etc.

• Familiar with lime and soil stabilization, road base stability and dirt work.

Salary: $70K – 90K/yr.
