Immediately hiring a Team Lead Process Engineer for a manufacturing company on the northeast side of San Antonio. This is a permanent direct-hire position. Salary is $70,000 to $80,000 annually based on experience. The Team Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing methods to maximize productivity.DUTIES:
- Develop test fixturing/tooling to facilitate finished product certification.
- Monitor and schedule inspection tool calibration.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
- Will monitor established manufacturing processes for functionality at the release of the product and again after a predetermined time.
- Improves manufacturing processes by identifying inefficiencies in existing workflows and developing new strategies to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Improves component delivery between departments by studying downstream timing requirements and developing/acquiring proper handling equipment and/or designing a new factory layout.
- Support manufacturing department team leaders with diagnosing and coordinating repairs (parts ordering, machine downtime/technician scheduling, confirming repairs are complete and proper).
- Root cause analysis to determine if additions to the maintenance schedule are required.
- Identify appropriate machinery required to increase productivity and onboard new products.
- Confer with equipment vendors.
- Project-based work for manufacturing.
- Oversee Engineering department.
- Hands-on approach, strong mechanical sense.
- Create tools for efficiency.
- Lean manufacturing, six-sigma.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a self-driven, dedicated, proactive, result-oriented leader with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to deal with complexity.
- Should have a broad range of experience with manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Should be able to present technical information clearly.
- Problem-solving.
- Should have a focus on manufacturing quality.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
- CADD experience in 2D (Autocad) and 3D modeling (Solidworks) is a plus.
- CAM experience (MasterCAM) is a plus.
