Immediately hiring a TIG (GTAW) Welder for a large aviation/manufacturing company. Will be TIG welding on various aircraft materials.
Pay is $17-$18/hr. depending on experience
Shift is Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm,
Duties:
- Perform TIG (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) on various aircraft materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), and Technical Directives (TDs) to determine welding requirements.
- Set up and operate welding machines, adjusting settings for optimal performance based on material and specifications.
- Inspect welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and engineering teams to address any serviceability issues or repair procedures.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Maintain accurate records of all welding activities and complete necessary maintenance documentation.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with hazardous waste regulations.
- Assist in flight line foreign object debris (FOD) prevention walks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience in aviation or aerospace environments.
- TIG certification a plus
- Previous TIG welding in aviation
- Previous TIG welding on exotic alloys
- Weld test will be conducted
