Tool and Die Maker | Full-Time | $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and troubleshooting tools, dies, and fixtures to support our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with both single-hit and progressive dies, as well as general toolmaking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and repair various tools, dies, and jigs.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex tooling issues to minimize downtime.
- Operate grinding, cutting, and polishing equipment for hard tool components.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of tools and dies with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling design and function.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in tool building and tool maintenance.
- Solid understanding of single-hit and progressive die processes.
- Proficient in the use of toolmaking equipment, including grinders, cutters, and polishers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mastercam experience is a plus.
- Tool design experience is an advantage.
