Scope of Position:

Working under the general direction of the supervisor or lead person, perform a wide variety of duties associated with metal fabrication equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Experience with copper and iron pipe (commercial grade)

Knows, understands, and uses the appropriate safety equipment in a machining environment.

Understands paperwork accountability when charging time to specific work orders

Reads and interprets blueprints

Understands overhead crane operations

Understands machines and area maintenance

Effectively operates pipe cutting / threading equipment

Trained to inspect gas / air / water trains for leaks

Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics

Understands how to open varied prints for article inspection

Uses power tools safely

Accurately read a tape measure

Ability to identify quality issues on varied product.

Familiar with assorted fasteners

Inspects and corrects product to sustain acceptable operation

Accurately and thoroughly inspect product for defects

Adheres to safety and environmental rules

Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge of basic math

Ability to read drawings and blueprints

Pay is 15.00 hourly with opportunity for overtime.
