Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Vinyl Machine Technician to join our sign manufacturing team in Cedar Hill, TX. This role requires a detail-oriented individual skilled in using vinyl machinery to safely and efficiently produce high-quality parts and materials. As a key team member, you will handle everything from machine setup to packaging, ensuring smooth operations and excellent output.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and prepare cut and print files from client-provided drawings.
- Safely operate vinyl cutting and printing machines for material processing.
- Set up machines, including consumables and tooling.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and plans.
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure product quality.
- Manage scrap materials and optimize their utilization.
- Accurately confirm work orders using paper and computer systems.
- Package materials to meet customer specifications.
- Stage materials for shipping and manage inventory.
- Assist with moving and carrying supplies as needed.
- Consistently achieve maximum productivity in finished goods creation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in a vinyl manufacturing or similar machine technician role.
- Hands-on experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements and technical drawings.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Familiarity with sign manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of scrap management and efficient material utilization.
- Prior experience packaging materials for shipping and meeting customer specifications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating vinyl cutting and printing machines.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
