Job Summary
VIP-South Dallas is seeking a Vinyl, Printing, & Graphics Detailer to join our sign manufacturing shop in Cedar Hill, TX. This position involves working with specialized machinery to produce high-quality signage. You will be responsible for preparing materials, operating machines, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to ensure efficient production. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with experience in graphics or sign manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create cut and print files based on client drawings and specifications
- Pull materials for orders and set up machines for production
- Perform machine set-up, tooling changes, and consumable replacement
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to process parts
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to maintain production flow
- Interpret and follow measurements and plans accurately
- Identify and address defective materials proactively
- Package materials per customer specifications for shipping
- Manage scrap remnants and utilize scrap materials efficiently
- Confirm work order details on both paper and digital systems
- Stage materials for shipment and carry/move supplies as necessary
- Maximize productivity in the creation of finished products
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisors
Required Experience
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting production machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting plans and measurements
- Experience working with vinyl, printing, or graphics is a plus
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Previous work in a sign manufacturing or similar production environment
- Experience using vinyl cutters, large-format printers, or related equipment
Required Skills
- Proficiency in machine operation and setup
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment
- Ability to interpret client specifications and technical drawings
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with design software for creating cut/print files
- Basic computer skills for managing work orders and production data
- Attention to detail for quality control and material management
