Job Summary
VIP Staffing-South Dallas seeks experienced Flux Core Welders/Fitters to join a leading manufacturer of utility poles and related infrastructure products. The role involves welding large components using Flux Core processes in a fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates must have a minimum of six months of Flux Core welding experience and be able to pass the 1G/2G Weld Test.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Flux Core welding on large utility poles and related components using 1/16" or .053" wire.
- Follow specified procedures to ensure high-quality and durable welds.
- Operate in accordance with safety guidelines and adhere to quality assurance standards.
- Perform maintenance or adjustments on welding equipment as needed.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of recent Flux Core welding experience.
- Familiarity with 1G/2G welding positions.
- Experience with industrial-scale fabrication (preferred but not mandatory).
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience working with utility poles, monopoles, or guardrails.
- Welding in high-production environments with strict quality controls.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Flux Core welding using 1/16" or .053" wire.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or welding diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with industrial welding standards for large-scale products.
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing and handling of heavy materials.
- Experience in fitting and assembly for large structural components.
Additional Details and Benefits:

Retention Bonuses:
- $1,000 after permanent hire.
- Additional $1,000 upon completing 180 days of employment.

- $4/hour night incentive for welders and weld inspectors.
- $2/hour night incentive for maintenance and other positions.
