Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Flux Core Welders / Fitters to join our team, working on utility poles, monopoles, guardrails, barrier systems, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience in flux core welding (FCAW) using 1/16th or .053 wire and be able to pass a 1G/2G weld test.
This position offers opportunities on both 1st and 2nd shifts. Bonuses for retention and referral are available to new employees who meet specific milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform flux core welding (FCAW) on utility poles, monopoles, guardrails, and barrier systems.
- Complete welding tasks in 1G/2G positions using Flux Core Wire (1/16th or .053).
- Ensure high-quality welds that meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in flux core welding (FCAW) with 1/16th or .053 wire.
- Ability to pass a 1G/2G weld test.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience welding on structural steel or heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with various welding positions and techniques.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience working as a flux core welder, specifically with FCAW processes.
- Demonstrated ability to pass a weld test in 1G/2G positions.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
Contract Details:
- Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Bonuses:
- Welder Retention Bonus:
- $1,000 upon hire after becoming a permanent employee.
- $1,000 after reaching 180 days of employment.
- Welder Referral Bonus:
- $500 after the referred candidate completes 90 days.
- $1,000 after the referred candidate completes 180 days.
