Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Flux Core Welders to join our team on the 2nd shift. This position involves welding utility poles and monopoles using 1/16th or .052 wire. Candidates must be proficient in performing high-quality welds, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Pay is competitive and based on weld test results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) on utility and monopoles using 1/16th or .052 wire.
- Conduct precise welding in the 2G position on 1-inch plates with a V-groove and backing bar.
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards and pass the required bend test.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Experience in Flux Core welding (FCAW) with 1/16th or .052 wire.
- Ability to pass a 2G bend test with a V-groove on a 1-inch plate.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift hours (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM) with mandatory overtime.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy materials.
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, based on weld test results.
