Fabrication Welding Inspector$24 – $28 an hour – M-FFab shop Welder Inspector Summary/Responsibilities:* Capable of using Quality Inspection measurement equipment, such as Calipers, Micrometers, Thread Ring gages, tape, level, square, and angle finder to measure distances and angles* At least 5-10 years FCAW & GMAW welding experience (no exceptions)* Certified by the American Welding Society as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) is a plus with knowledge requirements for codes, specifications, NDE Knowledge* Must be able to read blue prints (including weld symbols)* Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pound* Must have experience working in a manufacturing or production type environment* Ability to calibrate/set welding machinesQualifications:* Good knowledge of measuring devices and tools and the proper operation.* Good knowledge of codes and specifications.* Good knowledge of welding and NDE (non-destructive examination) processes.* Knowledge of manufacturing processes as applicable to the company’s products.* Knowledge inspection practices as applicable to the company’s products.* Knowledge of painting and galvanizing processes and inspection techniques.* Ability to read and write English, Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus.* Ability to inspect parts and assemblies to determine compliance with production drawings and the Companies standard inspection and quality standards.
