Accounts Receivable and Payroll Clerk

The key role of the Accounts Receivable and Payroll Clerk is to ensure he/she receives payments for goods and services and records these transactions accordingly. The Accounts Receivable and Payroll Clerk job description will include securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts and resolving any discrepancies.

Additionally, the Accounts Receivable and Payroll Clerk is responsible for working with the Payroll and Benefits Specialist to ensure payroll data is collected and submitted weekly.

Job Duties

  • Maintain our clients billing system utilizing Service Titan.

  • Generate invoices and account statements via Service Titan.

  • Maintain the accounts receivable files and records in conjunction with the Payroll and Accounting Generalist at Rite Way in Tucson.

  • Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries.

  • Address outstanding Accounts Receivable by communicating with customers and working with our client’s collection agency.

  • Validate the accuracy of customer invoicing.

  • Develop or update procedures, policies, and standards when requested.

  • In conjunction with management, implement corporate or departmental policies and procedures and service standards.

  • Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.

  • Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller with month end close by ensuring Accounts Receivable and payments are reconciled.

  • Assist the Payroll and Benefits Specialist in the collection and verification of payroll records such as employee timesheets.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Associates preferred

  • Less than five years of Accounts Receivable

  • One year in a role of trainer preferred

Software Knowledge

  • QuickBooks or similar software

  • Service Titan or similar software

  • Microsoft Office – Basic to moderate knowledge of Excel

  • Ability to use a 10-key calculator

  • Knowledge and use of personal computers

  • Ability to send emails and use the internet
