Business Systems Analyst Opening, Bellevue, WA

There are 2 open positions and both can be fully remote, but the director would like for them to be able to be in Sacramento for the first week. 

The most important thing is pretty extensive IBM Maximo experience.  The director has also stated on a couple of occasions that it must be very recent experience.  He isn’t looking for someone that worked with Maximo 2 years ago and hasn’t touched it since.

“I am looking for an individual that knows Maximo and can step right in and help round my team out. The right person will have some familiarity of Configuration and Structure as well as Application level experience. If they understand Workflows, User Group Security and Automation Scripts in Maximo that would be a plus.  I would also like them to know the Applications such as Work Order Tracking, Preventive Maintenance and Inventory.”

We are looking for Business Systems Analyst who can provide systems consulting services to support data processing, maintenance, and reporting requirements. Those in this job class define processes and specifications of related software applications systems based upon client input and systems knowledge. This job requires in-depth knowledge of systems supported, data requirements, and the ability to analyze, design, and code reports with proper application of metrics, formulas, and statistical techniques.


·         Performs detailed analyses of users’ data processing and reporting needs

·         Acts as a solutions architect to analyze a variety of complex business software issues and generate systems solutions

·         Enhances operational scripts and tools to improve information capture and application automation

·         Applies proof-of concept testing in creative ways around current tools and core functions

·         Researches current tools and core processes to suggest new solutions for production

·         Provides leadership on selection of specific application technologies

·         Plans, implements, troubleshoots, and interprets requests for business information

·         Makes presentations to peers and recommends business and application strategies

·         Plans and manages projects to implement new or revised systems

Required Experience/Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or other related fields

·         7+ years of experience in business operations and systems support

·         Must have prior experience with IBM Maximo

·         Skills to design and code management reports using Cognos or Crystal Reports

·         Familiarity with RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) concepts and design features

·         Skill to write SQL query statements

·         Advanced skill to use spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software tools to produce reports and correspondence

·         Clear understanding of business systems, processes, and data needs of assigned users

·         Strong analytical skills and process orientation

·         Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle multiple projects at the same time
