VIP Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist. The Machinist supports daily manufacturing work schedules, meeting all goals of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
CNC Machinist Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set-up machines, including gathering/loading of machine tools and inspection tools.
- Submit First article to Quality. Make adjustments as needed.
- Complete all required documentation and follow all ISO standards.
- Maintains a clean work environment and machinery within the assigned work area.
- Self-sufficient on start-up and shutdown equipment procedures
- Performs PM of machinery
- Changes cutting tools & performs minor tooling adjustments and program offsets.
- Performs necessary quality checks of calipers, micrometers, and functional gauges.
- Experience with Mazatrol or similar conversational programming is a big plus.
- Performs own setups and runs pre-programmed and established jobs.
CNC Machinist Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
- Understand and properly use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, travel indicators, plug and ring gages. (Digital, Vernier, Analog)
- Must be able to understand GD&T
- Must be able to read G code program, setup machines and diagnose problems
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or trade schooling.
