Lead for Concrete Block Company
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Pay: $16-$22
Job Summary:
The Lead is tasked with driving the performance and efficiency of employees working outside in the concrete production area. This role is important in overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring excellent quality and safety.
Job Requirements:
- Working Conditions: Requires physical effort (up to 80 pounds). Working outdoors 100% of the time.
- Physical Demands: Involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, hand/eye/foot coordination, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing.
- Physical Strength: Involves frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Math: Proficient in performing mathematical equations, including simple addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and simple construction calculations.
- Communication: Ability to represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works hands-on with personnel outside in the concrete area, providing direction and scheduling for their daily activities. Takes whatever measures are necessary to ensure activities are completed efficiently.
Tracks all inventories, anticipating yard consumable needs and ordering approved items as directed by the Manager.
Equipment Knowledge: Familiar with all equipment owned by the organization, understanding and monitoring maintenance procedures. (Willingness to learn)
Strictly enforces all jobsite safety requirements as defined by the Safety Program, OSHA, HAZCOM, and insights from the Safety Team. Maintains a clean, organized concrete production area.
Responsible for necessary paperwork, including vendor delivery tickets and jobsite delivery and pick-up orders.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
