The Help Desk Administrator is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware and or software as well as responding to queries, running diagnostics on programs, isolating problems and determining and implementing solutions in collaboration and under supervision of the Information Technology Director. This position’s primary role is a Help Desk Administrator, however there are ample opportunities to learn and develop additional IT skills and knowledge.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provides first level technical support to staff and acts as first point of contact for the IT Department.

• Performs troubleshooting by utilizing different diagnostic techniques.

• Ensures security and privacy of networks and computer systems.

• Creates, escalates and follows up with staff on IT requests and inquiries.

• Walks staff member through problem-solving process.

• Conducts regular maintenance and repair on various equipment such as PC hardware, monitors, printers, keyboards.

• Identifies areas and processes in need of improvements and provides recommendations.

• Assists resolving connectivity issues with a wireless network, routers and firewalls.

• Maintains department work log and records of repairs, fixes and maintenance schedules.

• Travel to different stores to assist with IT related issues and concerns or as directed.

• Participates and assists in migrations and upgrade projects.

• Other responsibilities and tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications (includes education, skills and experience):

• Associate Degree in Computer Technology or related field of study.

• 3 years’ experience in a Help Desk and or Computer Systems Support

• Experience managing Microsoft Windows, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

• Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server Operating Systems, Computer Systems Imaging/Cloning, Apple Products, Microsoft Office 2013-2016 software, including Word, Excel, and Point-Of-Sales systems.
