Jr Financial Analyst 50-55K Opening, DALLAS, TX

VIP Staffing is hiring immediately for an Accountant / Jr. Financial Analyst ASAP! Only 1 position starting at 50K – 55K yearly!

The Junior Financial Analyst role is an entry level salaried/hourly position that is a support role to our Financial Analysts, as well as a financial analyst in training.

For now, this will be a work from home position until company decides it is acceptable to return to job site (Las Colinas).

You will report to the CFT Finance Manager or a Senior Financial Analyst as the organization grows.

Job Skills/Traits required:

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Finance or Accounting (BA preferred)

  • No previous work experience required

  • Technical abilities with Excel, VBA, Word, Essbase, and other financial applications preferred

  • Able to work on certain holidays (weekly close is on Mondays), they can take these holidays (30 days before or after)

  • Need to be willing to learn, ask questions in order to grow

  • Overtime may be approved based on workload

Position Summary:

  • Supports the Financial Analysts in all aspects of unit financial activity, administrative work may be required as well as data entry

  • Assists the Financial Analyst with quantitative analysis for planning, budgeting, cost control, project control, etc.

  • Involved in the preparation of reports pertinent to analysis that include financial projections and recommendations of actions

  • Assists in the preparing of documents for business policies and assists with special financial and business related studies

  • Processes system accounting and financial matters for multiple single location accounts in UFS. Responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, budget, payroll, reporting, inventory, chargeback’s, etc

  • Assist in reviewing and processing accounting and financial reporting. Analyzes account budget(s)

  • Performs financial analysis to assist decision making by Financial Analyst , Finance Manager and Finance Director

  • Examine unit financial records to verify details of recorded transactions

  • Respond to data requests from management

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis for Unit/District management

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics, including operating and administrative budgets with assistance/direction from financial analyst or Finance Manager

  • Interact with Buffalo Service Center and clients to resolve invoicing and payment/remittance issues

  • Analyze and interpret budgeting trends

  • Provide support to GM’s/DM’s/RVP’s/DVP’s in order to ensure accurate results and help improve profitability

  • Provide support in resolving client billing issues and, managing and collecting receivables.

  • Assist in the monthly/quarterly/year-end close process to ensure accuracy and integrity of results at the unit/district/region/division level.

  • Prepare and review reports and other written documentation.

  • Maintain records and reports necessary to comply with company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes.

  • Actively listen to concerns and requests of customers and strategic partners, which help to identify their needs and requirements and to resolve their problems.

  • Assist in the monthly/quarterly/year-end close process to ensure accuracy and integrity of results at the unit/district/region/division level

  • Complete monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis requirements, such as Briefing Book, Quarterly Business Review, and New Sales Report.

  • Review and analyze financial statements and data, and other appropriate financial information to monitor attainment of financial goals

  • Evaluate existing processes to identify ways to eliminate inefficiencies, expense, and unnecessary work and bring findings to management

  • Ensure confidentiality of proprietary materials and information

  • Prioritize tasks so that the most important work gets accomplished

  • Communicate project or program status, work activities, and potential problem reports to supervisors, team members, and others (e.g., legal, communications)

Typical Knowledge and Skill:

Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of general accounting principles. This includes general accounting and financial reporting, cost accounting, auditing, budget and forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Web-Based Technology: Ability to work comfortably with web-based technology and systems.

Results Communication: Ability to translate highly technical financial information to non-technical audiences.

Customer Service Orientation: The ability to provide excellent service to external and internal customers. This includes seeking to meet customer needs and demands quickly and effectively; remaining calm and professional when dealing with difficult internal/external customers, reviewing complaints from internal/external customers and taking action to remedy the complaint; and taking care of customer.

Computer Skills: The willingness to learn and the ability to use computer and web-based system, Microsoft applications, Web-based applications) to input, access, modify, or output information or to execute programs or analyses. This includes the ability to provide basic written communication in a timely fashion through knowledge of PC functions; access and store data; and quickly enter and retrieve data from computer systems using a keyboard or mouse.

Cooperation: The ability to challenge, cooperate, work well, and compromise with others. This includes being supportive of others at all levels in the organization and willingly helping others as needed.

Detail Orientation: The ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in documents or on the computer. This includes being able to code, file, compile, transcribe, classify, and track details from a variety of different sources/problems/issues.

Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per year
