Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for performing extensive repairs procedures on mechanical assembly business. The position requires 2-5 years of mechanical and electrical equipment and utility systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to the following.
Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment
Maintain fleet of fork lifts, welding machines, and other tools
Inspects power tools for safe operation and make repairs when necessary.
Perform maintenance and use company tracking system to document.
Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets.
May operate a forklift, scissor, boom when properly trained and certified.
Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed.
Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches.
May repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
Performs LOTO procedures when working on any and all electrical and mechanical components.
Creates estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
Maintains and services the plant emergency generator. Conducts inspections as required.
Conducts safety briefings to contractors prior to allowing on the plant floor.
