VIP Staffing South Dallas is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager. The Shipping Manager is responsible for ensuring coordination of materials and information between Warehouse, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, and other departments to support successful and expedient product shipments and deliveries.
Shipping Manager Essential Functions:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of shipping and receiving
- Managing cycle count program to optimize warehouse accuracy.
- Creates, builds and maintains excellent relationships with key suppliers
- Utilizing Sage & supporting shipping/receiving systems to accurately process orders
- Ensure processes for the handling of all inbound goods, including U.S. Customs/FDA
- Establish transparent tracking methods with status updates available upon request,
- Supervise shipping and receiving department staff
- Inspect physical condition of the warehouse, dock and equipment
Shipping Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain logistics or other field, preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Shipping & Receiving Management
- ERP experience required; EPICOR preferred.
- Flexibility to work OT as needed.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and operating under tight time constraints
- Knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents
- Flexibility to work nontraditional hours including nights and weekends.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills
