NORTHWEST HOUSTON AREA TEMP TO HIRE POSITION

Entry level position / Must be willing to work second shift consisting of 4 nights per week 11 hr. shifts. A shift differential will be applied while working the night shift. (ALL TRAINING WILL BE COMPLETED ON DAYS)

Manufacturing Shop Helper

Assists workers engaged in metal stamping activities by performing the following duties.

Lifts, positions, and moves coil, sheet, and bar material to designated areas or machines.

Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck, truck or crane.

Bands coil sheet and bar material for transport.

Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas.

Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.

Operates deburring machine and other secondary operations as needed

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to hold, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

PAY RATE IS 10.00 an hour with a 10% shift difference when on nights
