We are looking for a SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator for our electronic manufacturing client.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Performs a variety of tasks with particular focus on the operation of SMT equipment. Instructions and duties are well defined but do require a high level of judgment and/or interpretation. Responsible for aspects of surface mount manufacturing including programming, machine set-up, operation, maintenance, adjustments as necessary, and machine tear-down. Manual placement when required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Accurately interprets various types of drawings, bill of materials, and necessary build documents as provided by Document Control.

•Responsible for output of an error-free quality product.

•Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment ; supports and explains reasoning for decisions ensuring that the appropriate people are involved in the decision­ making process.

•Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards .

•Works under general supervision.

•Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness ; applies feedback to improve performance .

•Follows policies and procedures according to company policy.

•Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and goals.

•Completes tasks correct ly within a fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail.

•Observes safety and security procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

•2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training.

•Basic computer skills, plus experience with spreadsheet and internet software necessary .

•Must be able to identify standard electronic components.

•Familiar with IPC-A-610 standards.

•Must be able to hand place various components .

•Regular attendance is required.

•Ability to work overtime may be required on an occasional basis.
