MS Access Developer / VBA / SQL DEVELOPER

About the Position

Looking for a VBA / MS Access Developer / SQL DEVELOPER who is enthusiastic and quick learner able to work in a team. Will be building and maintaining applications built on Microsoft stack.

Your ability to understand complex business requirements paired with strong technical programming skills are essential in being successful.

Job Responsibilities

Contribute to large scale MS Access / VBA based application development efforts

Contribute to SQL DEVELOPER with application development efforts

Working through assignments with a high-level of discipline and timeliness

Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.

Proficient with Excel.

Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.

Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.

Provide third-level support to business users.

Self-driven, proven history of delivering quality code

Strong written and verbal communication skills English

Easy to work with, friendly, positive attitude

4+ years experience development software

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology discipline

Core Competencies

Extensive experience with Microsoft Access 2007+

Extensive experience with VBA / VB6

Extensive experience with TSQL

Experience working in a team environment

Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization

Comprehensive understanding of database design and features indexes, keys, constraints, etc

Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment

Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business users

Preferred Competencies

Extensive experience with MS SQL Server.
