Vice President, Corporate Development, Direct Hire No C2C
This role will lead M&A and strategic partnership efforts for our dynamic, high-performing B2B enterprise software company. You’re a proactive self-starter that thrives in competitive, fast-moving situations. You are tenacious at attaining goals with an unmatched determination in conquering objectives at hand.
We are a leader in virtual events software and are growing very quickly. Your mission will be to lead efforts to craft a strategic plan around M&A and strategic partnerships and execute it.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Own the entire corporate development strategy including defining acquisition and partnership targets, segmentation, and related operational processes
Contribute to
? corporate strategy plan and vision as a key member of the executive leadership team
? Work with product teams, customers, outside vendors and executive leaders to gather and refine requirements for partnership and M&A
? Develop methodology and scoring criteria for assessing acquisition targets & partners against defined requirements
? Build and manage the corporate development team of internal and external resources around predictable, scalable, repeatable engagement motions.
? Individually lead efforts to identify targets, develop individual outreach plans, negotiate partnerships, and assist in onboarding those partnerships and acquisitions into the company
? Define and then deliver on quarterly and annual M&A and strategic partnership targets and goals
? Assist the team in reaching acquisition targets with high-level problem solving, optimizations, and often by getting your hands dirty to help close big deals
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
? 5+ year track-record in software and/or tech M&A, ideally in B2B Enterprise software
? VC / Private Equity experience is a plus. Especially with focus on virtual events / communication tech
? Proven ability to open doors, think strategically, and problem-solve to get deals done
? Track record managing internal and external resources including brokers and other intermediaries
? Excellent leadership, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
LOCATION
