Overview:
Our client is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst (Jr. FA) to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in collecting, interpreting, and evaluating financial and operational data. The Jr. FA will be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators, aiding in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, and contributing to financial forecasting and budgeting endeavors. Additionally, you will conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance with projected figures, identifying discrepancies and recommending enhancements. Your involvement will be essential in consolidating financial information for managerial review, ensuring the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting, and providing support to senior management in strategic decision-making. Collaboration with various departments will be integral to comprehensively grasp the financial ramifications of corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data to support forecasting efforts.
- Generate reports and forecasts based on financial information.
- Maintain the integrity of the database, including data entry, validation, and backups.
- Monitor financial performance and detect emerging trends.
- Support the production of monthly and quarterly business metric reports.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership.
- Consolidate and scrutinize financial data.
- Assist in financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Manage a corporate repository of metric definitions.
Qualifications:
- Strong ethical principles and a diligent work ethic.
- 2+ years of experience in business, finance, or operations analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated adeptness in utilizing complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
