Immediately hiring Shop Helpers to fabricate granite and other stone to finished products for customers.
Pay is $16-$17/hr. based on experience
Shift is Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm with overtime possible.
Duties:
- Work in the shop and assist various departments to fabricate stone into finished products
- Operate cutting, grinding, and polishing machines to fabricate granite surfaces.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Measure, cut, and shape granite slabs to meet project requirements.
- Polish and finish surfaces to achieve a high-quality aesthetic.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and meet deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Will work with advanced tools and machinery, ensuring that each piece meets our high standards for quality and craftsmanship
- Assist in installation of finished products on job site
Requirements:
- Seeking 1 year of granite fabrication or related field preferred
- Previous construction experience can be transferable
- Proficiency in operating stone fabrication machinery and tools.
- Previous shop fabrication is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Must know how to use basic hand and power tools
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and manipulate heavy materials
- Ability to work in an open-air (no AC) shop
